MACARONI, TOMATO & CHEESE CASSEROLE

1 16-oz pkg macaroni
1 lb ground beef
1 med onion, chopped green pepper ???
1/2 tsp salt
1 (35-oz) can tomatoes
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

Prepare macaroni as directed.

Brown beef, onion & green pepper; stir in salt & tomatoes with liquid; heat to boiling. Reduce to low; simmer uncovered 10 min, stirring occasionally.

Stir in drained macaroni and 1/2 shredded cheese; add remaining cheese to top and bake 350 deg 20 min or until cheese is melted.
